Latino Tax Professionals Association was founded by Carlos C. Lopez, EA, MBA in 2008. Mr. Lopez is CEO of Lopez Tax Service, Inc. based in Salinas, California. Mr. Lopez has been in the tax and accounting business since October of 1982.
Mr. Lopez holds a Bachelor's Degree from Pacific Union College and a Master's Degree from UCLA Anderson School of Management. Mr. Lopez passed the IRS Special Enrollment Exam in 1988 and is enrolled to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service at all administrative levels.
Mr. Lopez is a practitioner partner with the IRS National Stakeholder Liaison office in Washington, D.C. Mr. Lopez is also a featured speaker for Spanish language continuing education seminars at the IRS National Tax Forums held 6 times each year throughout the United States.
Over the years, several Latino tax and business professionals have strongly urged Mr. Lopez to help organize this growing and important group of Spanish speaking tax professionals into an important community—one that can be heard and felt nationwide.
